Registration
Registration for CVPR is handled through the IEEE. Fees information and electronic restistration are now available on the IEEE conference site. Alternatively, a PDF registration form, to be sent to the IEEE by fax or postal mail, is provided for those who do not wish to pay online. Note that to qualify for early registration prices you must register by May 12th.
Location & Accommodation
The technical program of CVPR 2006 will be held at the Kimmel Center at NYU June 17-23. CVPR's accommodation information page gives details of dormitory housing, hotel block bookings, and further hotel suggestions. The Kimmel Center and accommodation locations can be viewed on the map of CVPR'06 locations.
Financial aid available for students
With our anticipated funds only about 30% of students requesting travel grants will be able to receive awards. However we have not received approval to grant the awards yet. As soon as we receive approval we will be informing recipients. For those who do receive awards, they must pay for their travel and also be registered as students for CVPR. Then after the conference they need to submit their expenses for reimbursment of up to the granted amount. Even for recipients of travel awards, no funds will be disbursed except as reimbursement for expenses documented by receipts, for registered student attendees.
Student Volunteers
We have selected student volunteers and are awaiting their confirmation before informing others (in case we need students from the waiting list). Only about 20% of those volunteering were selected.
Visa Letters
Authors of papers in the main CVPR conference who need visa letters must first register for the conference, then submit a visa letter request. Visa letters will be sent as pdf files to the email address specified by the author, unless we are informed that hardcopy is required. Please note that visas for workshop participants should be arranged by workshop organizers.
